Plant Science

This course will cover the plant side of agriculture focusing mostly on crop production and soils. Crops such as corn, soybeans, small grains, alfalfa and specialty crops will all be explored in depth. Students will learn about how plants grow, what plants need to grow, and how people alter normal plant growth. Students will enjoy making connections between the seed, field and food.
Each student will be expected to have a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program.
