The DeWitt Central FFA Chapter is located in rural, DeWitt, Iowa and was first established in 1937 by G. Mark Hendren. Hendren was also the chapter's first Advisor. The DeWitt Central FFA Chapter is well known for its numerous awards at both state and national levels. DeWitt Central FFA was chartered in 1937.
Today, The National FFA Organization is the official name of the organization. The name was updated from "Future Farmers of America" in 1988 to reflect the growing diversity and opportunities in the ag. industry.
The chapter has had 30 District, 14 fourteen State, and one National Officers.
Since 1997, DeWitt Central FFA has never placed lower than eleventh at the Iowa State Fair. The Chapter has been named the Supreme Chapter nine times at Iowa State Fair.

The DeWitt Central FFA chapter is comprised of 93 members in grades 8-12. Our chapter was chartered on March 9th 1937. Amy Grantz is the advisor and Jenna Stevens is the FFA Coach. We are in the Southeast Iowa District, which serves about 450 students. Our current agriculture department facility was rebuilt in 2011. It now features a shop area and a greenhouse used for poinsettias and flowers, among other things. In addition, we have test plots, which we use for asparagus, corn, and soybeans.
